Corn futures at the Chicago Board of Trade turned lower on Friday after a short-lived short-covering bounce, pressured by outlooks for mostly warm Midwest crop weather through early next week, traders said.

A dive in soybean futures amid better crop weather and weak US cash markets fed the decline in corn.

CBOT corn futures were 1/4 cent to 2-3/4 cents per bushel weaker by 10:10 am CDT (1510 GMT). September was down 1-3/4 cents at $2.23-1/2. New-crop December was 2-1/2 lower at $2.31-1/2, trading above nearby support pegged at $2.30.

ADM Investor Services and Calyon were among the sellers, each with 500 December, traders said.
